A Sanctuary for the Enjoyment of Spirit
Quinta Da Akasha is a universal Portugal spiritual retreat center, nestled in the hills of Central Algarve in southern Portugal. The lovely white beaches of the southern coast of Portugal are fifteen minutes away, as are the medieval cities of Loule and Faro with its international airport and bustling seaport.
Quinta Da Akasha was established over one hundred and fifty years ago as a successful farming business. Today it still functions as a farm with fig, apple, orange, lemon, olive and canola trees bringing forth delicious fruit each year. Its lovely sculpture garden, nurturing mineral soil and gentle healing energy offer the perfect foundation to support deep healing and inspirational insight for all.

Faro, the largest city in the Algarve, is about a twenty minute drive from Quinta da Akasha. It has a charming historic center, lovely seaport, modern shopping center and small multi-ethnic shops. In the Old City you will find fine Portuguese restaurants, narrow winding cobblestone streets and beautiful old government buildings and churches.
The Algarve is the southernmost region of Portugal, famous for its almost constant sun, beautiful sandy beaches, healthy produce, fresh fish, friendly people (most speak English) and welcoming energy. The weather in the Algarve is generally sunny and warm with cooler temperatures and some rain in the winter months. It snows rarely and then only in the mountains. During the summer it can be quite hot, so be sure to bring a hat and sun protection. In the winter you will need a rain jacket and warm coat.
